About Crunchy Steve
Crunchy Steve is a nickname from an interesting time of my life. As my previous marriage was first going to shit, I was living with a friend in a share house. He had two friends called Steve, myself and another, and my friend’s girlfriend started distinguishing us by the handles, “Crunchy” and “Non-Crunchy”.
As it was an “interesting” time, I don’t focus on the negatives, and one of the positives I draw from that time is “Crunchy”, my nickname. It is a name I take as I move into comfortable middle age because it suits how I see myself. Something to get your teeth into, a bit crisp on the pallette, irascible.
